    WHY entrepreneurship@ubco Startup Sprint?

    entrepreneurship@UBCO (e@UBCO) offers UBC Okanagan students, faculty, staff and alumni training and mentorship support to explore their startup ideas, build connections within the Okanagan innovation ecosystem and develop the skill set needed to launch a successful new venture.

    Participants gain experience not only in how to pursue and build a new venture, but also in cross-disciplinary collaboration, brainstorming and ideation, group productivity, ad-hoc leadership and decision-making under time constraints.

    Presented with some of society’s biggest challenges, participants form small groups and venture to start a company over a weekend addressing the challenges presented.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

    Duration

    One full weekend offered in both the winter term 1 and term 2 timeframe, meals for the weekend are included.

    Recognition/compensation

    This is an unpaid experience, and no course credit is applicable.
